Liverpool FC: Anfield Stadium Guide
Anfield is one of the most prestigious and well-known grounds in world football - and isn’t too far from Liverpool’s City Centre. If you haven’t been at a Liverpool home game when the ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ anthem echoes around the stadium you are truly missing out on one of the greatest and most unique spine-tingling experiences in world football.
The Kop is one of the most famous stands in all of football and customers of Football Ticket Pad can be among the most loyal LFC supporters. The stadium has also recently been redeveloped with a new Main Stand which Liverpool ticket holders can experience for themselves on matchday this season.
On matchday, supporters can visit the famous Shankly Gates or take a stroll down 97 Avenue at the back of the Main Stand - the club’s tribute to the 97 fans who died in the Hillsborough disaster in 1989.
Outside The Kop, supporters can grab a photograph next to the Bill Shankly statue, just inside the famous Paisley Gates. Supporters get a real taste of the club’s history before they have even stepped foot onto the terraces with their Liverpool FC tickets.
Anfield Seating
The Kop: This is one of the most iconic stands in Europe and houses the most passionate Liverpool fans. LFC fans really are Liverpool’s twelfth man and the one-tiered stand is situated behind the goal, housing almost 13,000 supporters.
Known as Kopites, they tend to stand up the whole game and there are not many more intimidating sights in football than when the ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ anthem bellows with fans singing in unity with their scarves and flags raised.
Seats on The Kop are slightly more expensive as it is where all fans want to sit. Liverpool FC tickets sell fast but at Football Ticket Pad we have a selection available for every LFC game at Anfield for the 2022/23 season.
Main Stand: This has been recently redeveloped and is now one of the largest all-seater stands in Europe. Liverpool has increased their capacity to over 53,000 and is planning on increasing the capacity to around 61,000 by the end of 2023.
The number of tickets allocated remains in high demand as supporters come and experience the new-look Anfield and add to the special atmosphere.
The Longside Lower seats are situated at the bottom tier of the Main Stand tight to the playing surface. Tickets here allow fans to be close to the action and experience close-up what life is like for Jurgen Klopp in the dugout and seeing the players emerge from the tunnel before and after the match.
Further back in the Main Stand houses the Press Box and Commentators. Here provides the optimum view of the action allowing supporters to really embrace the atmosphere from the comfort of their seats with Football Ticket Pad. Numerous Liverpool FC VIP and hospitality tickets are seated in the Main Stand and you can be one of the first to experience it this season at Anfield.
Anfield Road: This stand is located behind the goal and it is here where Liverpool ticket holders can witness The Kop in all of its glory. Anfield Road also houses the away fans and despite it being the smallest stand within the ground, its two tiers add a special atmosphere by hosting both home and away support together.
Football Ticket Pad has various tickets available for this section of this stadium with tickets available in both the upper and lower tiers of Anfield Road and also in the away section.
Centenary Stand: This stand was built to commemorate the 100-year centenary of Liverpool Football Club in 1992. The two tiers accommodate almost 12,000 fans and also host the LFC Executive Boxes, function suites and banquet lounge.
Football Ticket Pad has LFC tickets for every home match this season and the Centenary Stand remains a popular choice for Liverpool supporters when choosing their Liverpool FC official matchday ticket.
Liverpool Ticket Types
Season/Members Cards:These are reserved seats which are available for every single home match at Anfield. Football Ticket Pad customers will receive their Season/Members Card before the game away from the stadium before returning them at the final whistle in a pre-paid envelope.
Liverpool FC Season tickets are notoriously difficult to get hold of with a potential waiting list of over 20 years. Season/Members Cards are available for seats in The Kop, Main Stand and Centenary Stand. Customers scan their card on entry at the turnstiles where their seat will be clearly displayed on the front of the card.
E-tickets: Liverpool Football Club tickets also carry an e-ticket option but this is only applicable for customers purchasing LFC hospitality tickets. E-tickets are sent out as an email once payment confirmation is confirmed and customers can then scan the email barcode on entry to the stadium.
Paper Tickets: This is the more traditional way of receiving your Liverpool FC tickets. Once your payment has been confirmed on Football Ticket Pad your tickets are then sent out by post to the address provided in your payment. Customers often receive their LFC tickets 3-4 days prior to the match and they will be sent an email confirmation once their tickets have been dispatched. LFC ticket holders can then gain entry with their paper ticket at the turnstile and can keep the stub of their ticket as a memento of their trip to Anfield.
